Other World Computing (OWC) launched a new product called OWC Thunderbolt 5 Dual 10GbE Network Dock.

The device is designed to allow users to connect to multiple high-speed networks, access network-attached storage (NAS) and expand peripherals through a single Thunderbolt cable.

In terms of network connectivity, the OWC Thunderbolt 5 Dual 10GbE Network Dock features two independent 10 Gbps Ethernet ports and one 2.5 Gbps Ethernet port on the front panel, allowing simultaneous connection to up to three separate networks. The device also supports link aggregation, allowing the combination of two 10GbE ports to achieve throughput of up to 20 Gbps when accessing NAS systems.

In addition to network ports, the OWC Thunderbolt 5 Dual 10GbE Network Dock also provides 3 Thunderbolt 5 ports and 4 USB 10 Gbps ports for connecting to other peripherals. The Thunderbolt 5 ports allow for the creation of 3 separate daisy chains, meaning that disconnecting one chain will not affect the others.

In terms of display output, the OWC Thunderbolt 5 Dual 10GbE Network Dock can support up to 3 displays with 8K resolution. The dock's case is made of aluminum and has a fanless design to ensure quiet operation and passive heat dissipation.

The OWC Thunderbolt 5 Dual 10GbE Network Dock is now available for $499. The company will also be exhibiting and demonstrating the OWC Thunderbolt 5 Dual 10GbE Network Dock at the IBC2025 (International Broadcasting Convention), taking place from September 12 to 15 in Amsterdam, at booth 7 – 7.A60.
