Intel Appoints Senior Leaders in Business and Engineering

Intel announced a series of senior personnel changes to strengthen its engineering focus and strengthen relationships with customers.

Greg Ernst, who has more than 20 years of experience at Intel, has been appointed Chief Revenue Officer. At the same time, three senior technical experts, Srinivasan Iyengar, Jean-Didier Allegrucci and Shailendra Desai, have also been appointed to key technical leadership positions.

“We see significant opportunities to enhance our product capabilities and meet changing market needs,” said Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan . “These new leaders have strong industry track records and are strategic in shaping Intel’s future.”

Greg Ernst – Chief Revenue Officer – Intel

Greg Ernst has been leading the Sales and Marketing Group (SMG) since May 2025. Prior to that, he was responsible for SMG’s Americas region and held various roles in global sales, marketing and product development. He continues to report directly to CEO Lip-Bu Tan.

Srinivasan Iyengar has been named Senior Vice President (SVP) and Fellow, will lead the new Customer Engineering Center and join Intel’s Executive Leadership Team. Previously, he led global semiconductor engineering at Cadence Design Systems, supporting custom silicon designs, especially for large-scale data centers.

Jean-Didier Allegrucci has been named VP of AI SoC Engineering. He will lead the development of multiple SoCs in Intel’s AI product roadmap. Prior to that, he worked at startup Rain AI and spent 17 years at Apple, where he led the development of more than 30 SoCs for its flagship products.

Shailendra Desai is VP of AI Fabric and Networking. He previously led silicon engineering and system design at Google, focusing on mobile SoCs. Prior to that, he was the founder and CEO of Provino Technologies, which Google acquired in 2021.

Both Allegrucci and Desai will report directly to Sachin Katti , Intel's Chief Technology and Artificial Intelligence Officer.
