CloudMile – Technology partner for Singapore ECI
Singapore appoints CloudMile as strategic technology partner for Enterprise Computing Initiative (ECI).
The decision to strengthen the nation’s digital competitiveness is outlined in Budget 2025, which includes Digital Industry Singapore (DISG), a joint agency of the Economic Development Board (EDB), Enterprise Singapore (ESG) and the Info-comm Media Development Authority (IMDA). ECI is a flagship program sponsored by the Singapore government with a funding of up to SGD 150 million, aiming to accelerate the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud computing technology in the local business community. The selection of CloudMile represents a shift from general incentives to specific action programs, focusing on long-term scalability as well as high-quality human resource development.

Strategic framework and implementation roadmap

As an implementation partner, CloudMile will be responsible for working directly with selected organizations to build an AI application roadmap, from identifying high-impact use cases to co-developing viable prototypes. To realize this goal, CloudMile introduces the Generative AI Foundation Framework – a comprehensive solution framework including a readiness assessment program (AI-DIVE) and a rapid prototyping process (AI-STRAT). This approach helps businesses not only stop at the testing level but also solve problems of data compliance and change management when putting AI into actual operation.
CloudMile’s plan for the next 12 months includes reaching out to and supporting more than 50 Singapore-based businesses through a series of in-depth workshops and technical consultation sessions. Jeremy Heng, Managing Director of CloudMile Southeast Asia, stressed that the focus of the program is not just on technology, but also on the ability to flexibly adapt to the changing business landscape, helping businesses move from initial ideas to measurable, real-world impacts. This is especially important in high-precision sectors such as finance, education and media, where CloudMile has previous experience.
Financial mechanisms and business support

One of the most notable features of the ECI program is the direct financial support mechanism for participating businesses. Accordingly, consulting and implementation fees for solutions, including AI strategy, operations and change management provided by CloudMile, can be subsidized up to 70%, with a ceiling of SGD 150,000. This is considered an important financial lever to help small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Singapore overcome the initial cost barrier – which is the biggest challenge in the digital transformation process.
Through this public-private partnership, Singapore continues to affirm its commitment to building a sustainable technology ecosystem, with macro policies being implemented through advanced technical solutions. Enterprises interested in integrating AI into their operations can register for the program through CloudMile’s ECI portal to access support resources. This move not only helps improve the internal productivity of each enterprise, but also contributes to shaping Singapore into a leading regional AI innovation hub in the period 2025 – 2030.
